Continuing previous work on podcasts, Oath PhD Fellow Longqi Yang and Professor Deborah Estrin organized a workshop on podcasts and machine learning at this year’s KDD conference. The KDD Workshop on Machine Learning and Data Mining for Podcasts (MLDM4P) brought together podcasting professionals, computer scientists, and researchers at the intersection of podcasting and data mining.
The workshop sessions fostered discussions of search and recommendation methods, user behavior, and industry applications of this under-studied medium. The workshop took place on August 20th, 2018 at KDD in London.
